HOME, the film

HOME – a film about our endangered planet

Fascinating aerial photographs of our planet

Film directors Yann Arthus-Bertrand (Earth from Above) and Luc Besson (The Big Blue) show us that earth is the only home we have. They reveal the planet’s fascinating, yet extremely fragile nature. The film is intended to be a wake-up call for all who see it. It aims to illustrate the precarious position of our world, the finite nature of the resources we have left, and the fact that the onus is on us to ensure that our planet remains habitable for future generations.

The whole film can be viewed for free online and in cinemas around the world. It has no commercial raison d’être and relies on viewers to actively share it in order to reach as many people as possible.

“We are living in exceptional times. Scientists tell us that we have 10 years to change the way we live, avert the depletion of natural resources and the catastrophic evolution of the Earth’s climate.

Everyone should take part in the effort, and HOME has been conceived to take a message of mobilization out to every human being.

For this purpose, HOME needs to be free. A patron, the PPR Group, made this possible. EuropaCorp, the distributor, also pledged not to make any profit because HOME is a non-profit film.

HOME has been made for you: share it! And act for the planet.

Yann Arthus-Bertrand.”
